MDS and the Three Keys
AllClir’s easy to use measurable disinfectant sensors (MDS) help solve your disinfection program problems by providing immediate, unambiguous and permanent visual evidence a non-porous surface has been sufficiently wetted with disinfectant. This information is a game-changer for three key elements of any surface disinfection program: Process Validation, Personnel Training, and Objective Auditing.
VALIDATION
AllClir provides manufacturers and distributors the ability to validate that chemistry and sprayer combinations perform as expected. This is known as process or system validation. With the endless chemistry and sprayer configurations available on the market, AllClir empowers all stakeholders by ensuring facilities can repeatedly validate the performance of chemistry and sprayer combinations within their own environment. AllClir sensors variously detect quaternary ammonia, free chlorine (e.g. chlorine dioxide, hypochlorous acid), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), citric acid, thymol and others.
TRAINING
AllClir sensors provide an immediate and obvious visual signal that they have indeed been visibly wetted with the particular disinfectant they are designed to sense. This feedback is naturally instructive and is dependent on ambient conditions (temperature, humidity, wind, water hardness, residual water in the applicator, etc.) that might otherwise hamper disinfection. The sprayer operator can continually tweak spray distance and technique per this simple analog feedback, assuring initial wetness of surfaces while stopping short of costly over spraying. Moreover, each AllClir sensor essentially symbolizes the importance of “wet time”, encouraging a culture of respect for this fundamental criteria of disinfection.
AUDITING
AllClir facilitates simple, scalable, objective auditing (both overt and covert) of disinfection efforts. Wonderfully simple and disposable, these analog sensors can nonetheless be kept as a record of the disinfection procedure. (Once flipped, they remain so permanently.) Likewise they can be digitized easily on the spot by smartphone camera and uploaded via app to a distributed ledger, thus becoming a time- and geo-stamped immutable record. Over time AllClir sensors provide detailed trend and analysis data. In combination with other measurable auditing tools, such as ATP bioluminescence testing, AllClir sensors support precise, thorough and ongoing facility assessments of cleanliness.
* Importantly, AllClir measurable disinfectant sensors (MDS) only verify the initial visible wetness of a corresponding disinfectant (i.e. on a non-porous surface); they do not verify disinfection. The user must still follow the directions on the disinfectant product label, especially with respect to the time the product must remain visibly wet on a surface to achieve the labeled kill claim (which duration is variously called the “contact time”, “wet time”, “dry time”, “exposure time” or “dwell time”).
Pictured above: a roll of AllClir branded sticker sensors bearing the GBAC Star Registered seal. The solid dot (blue in this example) will immediately and irreversibly turn color entirely (e.g. to yellow) insofar as it is entirely wetted with the corresponding sprayed or fogged disinfectant (e.g. quat, chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, acid, thymol, etc). Actually, the before and after colors depend on the disinfectant you are using. The stickers can be co-branded, non-branded, bigger, smaller, they can feature a QR code pointing to your website. GBAC STAR™ Registered
AllClir is honored to be among the first technologies to achieve GBAC STAR™ Registered status from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC), a Division of ISSA. These products and programs have been recognized as meeting a high standard of cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention. The GBAC STAR Registered Seal promotes resilience and provides added assurance for facility managers and service provides who are dedicated to cleaning for health.
